We are delighted to announce the appointment of two new board members: Denise Turner, the recently appointed Research Director, Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) and Adam Crow, Partner - Head of Publishing UK, EssenceMediacom. Both Directors are hugely experienced industry figures who, as the new agency buy-side board members, will be instrumental in guiding JICMAIL’s future.

Their appointments are a strong endorsement of the industry’s continued commitment to support JICMAIL’s purpose to provide industry accepted and trusted gold standard data and insight on people’s interactions and behaviours with mail in the home. JICMAIL data helps all sectors of the industry better plan, implement, and evaluate their campaigns, providing essential evidence on the value of mail to advertisers and their audiences in a multi-channel world.

Denise Turner is a highly respected research leader within the advertising industry, with a key industry remit at the IPA and with brilliant experience and award-winning work in research and insight. Denise’s thought leadership on best practice research, measurement and effectiveness and her commitment to industry collaboration will be invaluable in helping JICMAIL deliver its mission.

Likewise, Adam Crow brings extensive experience in publishing and media from his leadership role at EssenceMediacom, as the biggest agency in the UK and part of WPP Media. As well as building a great reputation in the industry for advancing integrated media strategies and driving effectiveness in print and publishing channels, Adam is a strong advocate for robust measurement, industry standards, and accountability and also represents IPA on the boards of PAMCo and ABC. He is warmly welcomed onto the board of JICMAIL.

Mark Cross, Engagement Director, JICMAIL, confirmed, “We are thrilled to have both Denise and Adam join the board to help steer and guide us into a future where gold standard data such as JICMAIL is more important than ever and which provides the industry with trusted, transparent and accountable data, in our case for mail, to thrive in a digitally connected world.”

Chris Combemale, Chair of JICMAIL and Director of Policy and Public Affairs, DMA UK confirmed, “Denise and Adam will bring amazing insight, passion and experience to the JICMAIL board. Their wealth of knowledge will help drive the next stage of JICMAIL’s evolution to increase our influence and help advertisers take advantage of the unique properties of mail as a super touchpoint in customer engagement.”

Denise Turner confirmed, “Robust measurement is at the heart of understanding what works, what doesn’t and why. As new methodologies come into play, they open up deeper insights into our audiences, and that leads to smarter decisions and a greater impact across the industry. I am delighted to be supporting the JICMAIL team in advancing audience measurement.”

Adam Crow confirmed, “I’m delighted to be joining the JICMAIL board at such an exciting time for the industry. JICMAIL’s data is a vital resource for advertisers and agencies who want to understand and prove the value of mail in today’s media mix. I look forward to working with the board to champion robust measurement and help ensure mail continues to play a powerful role in integrated campaigns”.

Denise’s appointment follows her joining the IPA as successor to Belinda Beeftink on her retirement from the same role and as a JICMAIL board director, following years of exceptional service. Adam replaces Mike Colling, Chairman, The Kite Factory, who after ten years of invaluable support is standing down. Mike is one of the ‘founding fathers’ of JICMAIL and the industry will forever be grateful for his immense contribution to JICMAIL’s work.
